By downloading, accessing, or using the ReadChi iOS application ("ReadChi", "the App", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

1. Description of Service

ReadChi is a native iOS reader and language learning tool designed to assist users in reading Chinese text through built-in dictionary lookups, spaced repetition flashcard reviews, text-to-speech audio pronunciation, and multi-format document parsing.

2. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to the documents, books, and texts that you import into the App.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold the legal right or license to import, store, and process any third-party copyrighted materials.
The ReadChi software, logo, design system, algorithms, and application interface are the proprietary intellectual property of ReadChi.

3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

If you purchase any optional premium tier, lifetime access, or subscription within ReadChi:

Payments are charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is disabled in your iOS Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through the App Store account settings.

4. Dictionary & Third-Party Data Disclaimers

ReadChi incorporates CC-CEDICT data and machine translation features as reading aids. While we strive for accuracy, translations and dictionary definitions are provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of grammatical or contextual perfection.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue services or terminate access to sync features for any user who violates these terms or engages in abuse of our server APIs.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReadChi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the application.
